The cottage
at Sherwood on Burnham Street next to the library
has had a lot of complaints from people living close by and I have
it on
good authority
that the police are clamping down on what is
called anti-social behavior. Do be aware of this if you happen to
use this cottage.

Thieves Wood
If you go down to the woods today you maybe in for more than a surprise.
Locally known as Thieves Wood but it is adjacent in Normans Hill Wood
that most cruising occurs.
Take the A60 from Nottingham past Newstead Abbey, turn left at the Larch
Farm crossroads
The second turning on the right veers to the left into the woods.
Thieves Wood is on the right and Normans Hill wood are on the left.
The car park is up on the left and there are several clear trails.
Care should be taken as cars have been broken into.
Whilst cruising for a partner is not in itself illegal, to have sex in a public place is, and
due to public safety issues, Muggings, Queer bashing. etc., the police are stepping up patrolling
Thieves Wood on a crime prevention basis. Please be aware of this if you use this area.
Colwick Woods
During the month of August there are a lot of family fun day activities in Colwick Park.
Please be aware that there will be a police presence in the park on these days and cruising should be avoided.
The car parks at both ends of Colwick Racecourse have paths leading
into the woods and
see a certain amount of action even on the coldest days. As always
discretion is needed
here as the woods are used by members of the public.
Since Colwick woods has been put on several dogging sites there have
been numerous complaints to the police about
"Anti Social behaviour", "Flashing", And other
more serious incidents. I have it on good authority that the police
are acting
on these complaints, Vehicle registration numbers are being logged
by cctv cameras and if a number keeps coming up
regularly letters are being sent out to the registered keeper of the
vehicle
Please be aware of this if you use these woods.
The Embankment
Between the Cottage at Trent Bridge and the Suspension Bridge there
has always been
a certain amount of cruising.
Please be aware that due to "anti-social" behavior by a
few individuals the toilets at Trent Bridge
and the Memorial gardens are being monitored by the council and the
police.
